Mental Health Worker, Full-Time, Days 40 hours (2 8 x 2 12 hour shifts)
About The Position
The Mental Health Worker provides a variety of direct services to patients on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. The role supports patient admission, discharge, and transfer; obtains and records vital signs; orients patients to the unit; assists with feeding and routine physical care as directed by a nurse; and performs phlebotomy. The Mental Health Worker also participates in assessment and planning as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, implements treatment approaches, co-leads group sessions, and observes patient status. This is a full-time, 40-hour position with day shifts consisting of two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts. Rotating weekends are required.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of schooling in Psychology or a related field.
- Rotating weekends required.
