About The Position
The San Juan Unified School District is hiring a Mental Health Therapist at General Davie. The district serves more than 45,000 preschool, transitional kindergarten through grade 12, and adult learners in eastern Sacramento County. The role requires a master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or a closely related field, along with qualifying California licensure. Applicants must attach proof of the required education and licensure; applications missing required documentation will not be considered. The position also requires possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C driver license within 30 days of hire or before driving a vehicle or equipment requiring the license. Applicants must be willing and able to work evenings.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or a closely related field.
- California licensure in marriage and family therapy or social work, or licensure as a psychologist under the California Board of Psychology.
- Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C driver license within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment or vehicle requiring the license.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings.

- Previous experience working with risk factors associated with criminogenic behaviors and pathways, emotional dysregulation in children, comorbid psychiatric diagnoses, and trauma.
