About The Position

This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or $4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency, provided upon completion of a probationary period. Under the supervision of the Case Management Services Team 3 Coordinator for the Adult Mental Health Services Department, the Mental Health Therapist will function as a member of the Case Management Services Team 3. This role involves performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring substance use services. Responsibilities include case management, individual and group therapy, treatment team consultation, development of person-centered plans, and Evidenced-based practice activities. The position requires extensive case documentation and carrying out all program activities in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential
One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) working with persons with mental illness OR one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental illness
Ability to work well with others
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing
Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license
Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use
