Mental Health Therapist

Kolmac•Arlington, VA

About The Position

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health is building a pipeline of qualified Mental Health Therapists for current and future opportunities; an immediate opening may not be available when an application is submitted. The therapist will provide evidence-based mental health treatment to adults and build strong therapeutic relationships. Approximately 50–65% of the role is direct patient care, with the remaining time devoted to documentation, treatment-team collaboration, and case management. The position includes individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches; leading process, psychoeducational, and skills-based groups; conducting comprehensive assessments and level-of-care determinations; and developing person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans. The therapist collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, and peers, supports patients’ understanding of diagnoses and long-term recovery, coordinates care with families and external providers, and completes clinical documentation accurately and on time. Compensation is based on a tiered model, with a percentage earned for each individual and group counseling session. Therapists with a consistent caseload can earn up to $100,000 annually, and top performers may earn more. Kolmac describes realistic caseloads, interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical leadership, and potential pathways into leadership, supervision, and specialty tracks as features of its clinical environment.
