About The Position

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to work directly with patients experiencing behavioral health challenges. The role supports patient safety and treatment plans while promoting a positive, structured, and therapeutic environment. The hospital is planned to serve children and adolescents, adults, and seniors with individualized, evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare. The facility is expected to open in the second half of 2026.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and observational skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and empathy.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health setting.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Conduct routine patient safety checks and observations.
• Support patients with daily living activities as appropriate.
• Respond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalations.
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans.
