About The Position

The Mental Health Technician works under the direct supervision of an RN and serves as the milieu coordinator. The role provides care for patients during program hours, monitors specified areas, and oversees the daily coordination of patient care duties while maintaining professional boundaries. The technician also provides and maintains a clean, safe, and quiet environment.

This is a full-time Emergency Department position at Lexington Medical Center, scheduled for days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with every other weekend required. The position is listed as benefits eligible and pays $18.85 to $28.30 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute.
• CPR certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification.
• Mental health experience using a trauma-informed philosophy when caring for patients, handling crisis situations calmly, and managing significant amounts of confidential patient information.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of related experience preferred.
• CNA license preferred.
