This PRN opportunity is for a Mental Health Technician (MHT) at River Park Hospital's Huntington location. The PRN position offers scheduling flexibility, with hours varying each week based upon need. MHTs are crucial in developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships throughout the healthcare continuum, ensuring and improving quality care by facilitating safe, quality, and cost-effective care for patients and families. They are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, meeting patient learning needs, and interacting therapeutically to de-escalate crises. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum
• Assure and improve quality care by facilitating the patient and family’s right to receive safe, quality, and cost-effective care
• Maintain and protect confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information
• Demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients by utilizing appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes
• Conduct patient rounds related to routine and heightened observation status
• Interact in a therapeutic manner to decrease crisis within the patient care setting
