About The Position
The Mental Health Technician is an assistive person who aids patients with activities of daily living and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. North Vista Hospital is an accredited 177-bed hospital in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and a member of Prime Healthcare. It provides comprehensive healthcare services, including mental health care, emergency care, heart care, surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and treatment for a broad range of medical conditions.
Requirements
- Obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate within six months of hire.
- Have a current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it.
- Possess knowledge of medical terminology.
- Obtain a current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
