Mental Health Technician MHT
About The Position
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides direct patient care and works in harmony with the nursing staff. The role supports patient safety and therapeutic care through monitoring patient interactions, assisting with medical records and patient data collection, providing clerical support, and performing medical procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The technician uses verbal and non-verbal communication skills to provide targeted therapeutic interventions with patients. This is a full-time position with day shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or night shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The posted wage range is USD $16.00–$21.50 per hour. Compensation decisions may consider factors including skills, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- In general, one year of equivalent work experience in a psychiatric or addictive disease treatment facility.
- CPR certification required.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation.
