About The Position

Lane County Behavior Health is looking for a Mental Health Clinician to join our Adult Outpatient Team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness in a community mental health setting. This skilled experienced mental health professional provides evidence-based treatments and supports. Day to day work includes providing assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy as well as some community outreach and crisis intervention. A portion of this clinician's caseload includes working with individuals who reside in a mental health adult foster home and coordinating with their foster home providers. The work is done collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health clinicians, peer support specialists, case managers, nursing and psychiatry as well as partner with other service providers in the community. For this recruitment we are looking for dedicated individuals with a passion to serve adults with severe and persistent mental health needs. This position requires a QMHP Certification. Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.
  • QMHP Certification
  • Possession of a valid driver's license at time of application, and a valid Oregon Driver's license by time of appointment.
  • For MHS1 - QMHP Certification or enrolled as Clinical Social Work Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate.
  • For MHS2 - Oregon Health Licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of some experience working directly with mentally or emotionally disturbed clients in the provision of behavioral health services is highly desirable (for MHS1).
  • Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment (for MHS2).
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
