Requirements

  • Associate Degree (or 60 credit hours) and three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring diagnoses
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, or Rehabilitation Services may be substituted for college coursework at the discretion of the hiring manager
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and follow-through abilities
  • Understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centered approaches to mental health services
  • Knowledge of serious mental illness and psychiatric rehabilitation principles
  • Ability to establish supportive therapeutic relationships with residents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to safely respond to crisis situations
  • Basic computer proficiency and electronic documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two (2) years of experience working directly with individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring diagnoses
  • Experience in residential, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or community-based services
  • Experience supporting individuals in recovery-oriented residential programs

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, case management, rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented support to adults with serious and persistent mental health conditions in a residential setting.
  • Assist residents in developing independent living skills including personal hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting, medication self-management, transportation, and meal preparation.
  • Coordinate services with mental health providers, psychiatrists, case managers, family members, and community resources to support individualized recovery goals.
  • Monitor resident progress, assist with assessments and service planning, provide crisis intervention support, and encourage wellness, independence, and self-determination.
  • Complete accurate documentation, medication records, progress notes, and incident reports while maintaining compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
