About The Position
Greenwood Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has immediate openings for a Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join their team. This role involves providing psycho-social support to consumers in conjunction with the Program Director. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing uncompromising excellence in psychiatric patient care, prefers a family-centered, skilled care environment, and strives for individual professional development. Greenwood Care is an Intermediate Care Facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals suffering from chronic psychiatric disorders.
Requirements
- B.A. in Psychology or Human Services
- Two (2) years of prior experience with and/or exposure to individuals with psychiatric disorders
- Organizational and time management skills
- Analytical, assessment and active listening skills
- Must have compassion for and a strong desire to help adults with mental disorders
Nice To Haves
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification a plus
- Long-Term Care facility experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical team to create treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic plans and activities in a compassionate and caring manner
- Recognize, note and inform team when a consumer is not at base line
- Lead groups and hold one-on-one sessions
- Crisis management and intervention
- Carry a caseload of 30 + individuals
- Complete all necessary documentation
