The Mental Health Specialist/Professional is responsible for rendering mental health services under the supervision of a LMHP and Program Director. This role involves providing individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to adolescent and adult clients, assisting them in developing treatment goals, and enhancing their social and interpersonal skills. The professional will help clients identify and build support networks, improve coping strategies, and function better in their social environments (home, work, school). Responsibilities also include aiding in the restoration and development of daily living skills, helping clients manage psychiatric or emotional symptoms, and assisting them in identifying and responding to triggers that lead to functional impairments. Crisis intervention is a key component to ensure client and public safety. The role requires timely development and documentation of service records within 24 hours, attendance at agency meetings, trainings, and supervision. As a team member, the professional will participate in service planning and coordination to ensure cohesive service delivery. The position also involves contributing to the agency's Performance Improvement initiative, effective communication with clinical and administrative staff regarding client concerns, assessing and monitoring recipient status in relation to rehabilitation, and identifying/reporting community resources while maintaining weekly appointments.
