About The Position

Wellpath is seeking a Mental Health Professional to provide direct clinical services to persons served under the direction of clinical leadership. This role involves conducting mental health screenings and assessments, completing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services. The position also includes completing clinical documentation, supporting pre-release planning for CalAIM-eligible individuals, and providing training, consultation, and information to facility staff as required. Candidates should be comfortable with crisis management, severe mental illness, brief, solution-focused interventions, substance use and withdrawal awareness, boundary setting & manipulation awareness, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emotional resilience. Additionally, the role focuses on 5150/5250 mechanics, Title 15 & BSCC Standards, and CalAIM continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related mental health discipline
  • Licensed or license-eligible in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist
  • Must maintain all licensures, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with substance use disorders and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical, consultation, and counseling services in accordance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments and complete treatment plans, including ASAM tools when needed.
  • Respond to sick call requests, referrals, and provide crisis intervention services.
  • Complete required clinical documentation and document services in CorEMR as appropriate.
  • Support pre-release planning, quality assurance activities, and provide training and consultation to staff.
