This role involves consulting with the emergency department team to deliver rapid clinical assessments and disposition recommendations for individuals presenting in mental health or substance use crises. The clinician will provide written level-of-care recommendations and coordinate placement, treatment planning, and referrals to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up. They will apply organizational admission criteria to determine appropriate levels of care and support evidence-based decision-making. Communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary treatment teams and community partners are essential to support safe, effective care transitions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other mental health profession
- 2+ years experience in a behavioral health setting
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - MN Board of Social Work required upon hire or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist - MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy required upon hire or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy required upon hire or Licensed Psychologist-MN Board of Psychology required upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Direct clinical experience in a hospital, mental health, or clinic setting
- 1 year crisis management skills in hospital, clinic, or managed care setting
Responsibilities
