About The Position

Supporting the New Hampshire National Guard, this role focuses on strengthening the resilience of Service Members and their families by providing direct, evidence-based counseling. The Mental Health Counselor will offer direct counseling and therapeutic support, emphasizing timely care for those who might otherwise have difficulty accessing it. This position is crucial for maintaining an operationally ready force by improving individual well-being, strengthening families, supporting retention, and ensuring Service Members remain mission-ready. The role involves working with Soldiers, Airmen, spouses, couples, children, and adolescents as part of a multidisciplinary readiness program that addresses mental, physical, nutritional, and financial well-being. It offers a meaningful impact by practicing in an environment where quality counseling directly supports both families and national defense.
