Requirements

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population.
Bachelor's degree: Graduate from a university program in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing.
MSW.
Licenses: Current license as a Psychologist, CNS, LISW/LMSW, LPC/C or LMHC.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) recent years clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage in short term individual therapy with clients to assist them in trying to improve their physical health and emotional well being.
Determine, prioritize, provide and/or arrange for needed internal and external services/interventions.
Participate in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress.
Consult with healthcare team members to promote, monitor, and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.
Assist with discharge planning and processes.
Identify appropriate resources, including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provide referrals as part of the discharge plan.
Supervise and/or train new staff, students, and interns.
Perform Medicaid screenings as indicated for NHP.
Assist patients with Safety Net applications when needed.
Conduct a biopsychosocial assessment of assigned patients.
Provide individualized brief therapy as appropriate to the patient, in collaboration with referral source.
