They provide outpatient therapy, psychiatric services, and care coordination, all based on trauma-informed, evidence-based practices for holistic healing and long-term recovery. This W-2 fee-for-service Mental Health Counselor position involves responsibilities across affiliated organizations under shared leadership, primarily with Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center, LLC. The employment structure is a single W-2 relationship, with payroll compensation based on time worked and services provided, making the individual an official employee. This role is full-time, requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with day-to-day supervision and scheduling coordinated centrally. The majority of assigned clients will receive services in school-based or inter-school office settings, specifically at Prettyboy Elementary School in Baltimore County, servicing up to 15 Category B or E clients. The School-Based Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing direct mental health services to elementary school students on-site during the school day, following the school calendar. This includes individual and small group counseling, mental health screenings and assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention using developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practices. The counselor collaborates with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote student social-emotional development, behavioral regulation, and academic engagement, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with school, program, and regulatory requirements.
