About The Position

Join Clarity Healthcare, a member of Centerstone of Illinois, as an Assessment Unit Counselor (QMHP) and gain meaningful hands-on experience in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians pursuing licensure who want to develop their assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning skills while receiving support from an experienced behavioral health team. As one of the first clinical contacts for individuals seeking care, you'll play a critical role in helping clients access the services and support they need during some of their most vulnerable moments. The role involves conducting behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations, engaging with newly referred clients and families, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions and crisis services, coordinating care, monitoring client progress, and maintaining clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a closely related human services field
  • Eligible to obtain or currently hold a provisional clinical license in Illinois
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the field of behavioral health (case management, direct care, counseling, or related)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns
  • Assessment, crisis intervention, or intake experience
  • Knowledge of community resources and behavioral healthcare systems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations
  • Engage with newly referred clients and families within two business days
  • Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, crisis services, and community support
  • Coordinate care with providers, families, and community resources
  • Monitor client progress and participate in treatment reviews
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
