Mental Health Counselor - Group Living Environment

About The Position

Riverside Community Care is hiring a Mental Health Counselor for an Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Group Living Environment (GLE). GLEs are safe, comfortable homes where adults receive support as they build confidence, skills, and independence. The position supports residents on their path to recovery in an environment that recognizes each person’s strengths and potential. The counselor partners with residents to help them pursue personal goals, strengthen physical and emotional wellness, develop life skills, and connect with their communities. The role also involves collaboration with a team committed to mutual learning, respect, and growth. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with the following schedule: Sunday 2 p.m.–10 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday 7 a.m.–3 p.m.; Wednesday 2 p.m.–10 p.m.; and Thursday 10 a.m.–6 p.m. The pay rate is $22.01 per hour.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
Valid driver's license and available, dependable transportation.
Willingness to provide transportation to persons served in a personal vehicle, as needed.
High school diploma and one year of related experience required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with the recovery model, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions.
