About The Position

This role is responsible for the day-to-day clinical oversight of the CCS program to ensure quality patient care that is consistent with regulatory agency standards and evidence-based practices for addiction treatment. Working with the CBHC Nurse Manager and under the direction of the Program Director, and in his/her absence, assumes responsibility for the daily operation of the program.

  • Manages difficult or emotional client situations; responds promptly to client needs and maintains confidentiality.
  • Listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills.
  • Writes clearly and informatively.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from consumers, regulatory agencies, or other service providers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, rehabilitative counseling, or a closely related field required.

  • LMHC or LICSW license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and consultation as needed to mental health counselors and peer specialists, including monitoring milieu acuity and assigning client tasks, as appropriate.
  • Assures development of a treatment plan and crisis response plan for clients as needed.
  • Reviews clinical documentation to assure full compliance with federal, state, and program regulations and stipulations as well as private payers and accreditation if applicable.
  • Oversees the Quality Assurance program.
  • Provides regularly scheduled supervision to program staff, reviewing group dynamics and developing strategies to maximize client continuation and compliance.
  • Develops in-service training for staff.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Director of the CBHC and the CBHC Medical Director, conducts ongoing review of the clinical program design and implements recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops and monitors group curriculum using evidence-based techniques to meet the needs of clients served in the program.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling of staff as assigned.
  • Attends and participates in internal team meetings as required as well as external stakeholder meetings.
  • Shares in on-call responsibilities for the program, as applicable.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
