About The Position

Liberty Resources is seeking a full-time Mental Health Clinician to join its Mobile Crisis team in Onondaga County. The Mobile Crisis Team is a trained multidisciplinary team providing crisis intervention in community settings where individuals live, work, attend school, receive services, or socialize. Services include culturally and linguistically competent assessments; crisis diversion, safety, or relapse-prevention planning; support during and after a crisis; and coordination with and referral to health, social, and other services and supports, including peer and family support services. The team seeks to divert unnecessary hospitalizations and arrests, engage people in services, reduce symptoms, stabilize individuals, restore functioning, and build coping mechanisms to help prevent future crises. It serves Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties. The Licensed Responder works alongside Mobile Crisis Responders and Peers, primarily conducting clinical assessments and providing crisis intervention. Responses may be provided by telephone, in person, or by telehealth as needed, with follow-up services depending on need. This is a field-based, community-facing role involving regular travel and in-person work in varied environments. The pace is fast and emotionally dynamic, requiring flexibility, composure, quick decision-making, and schedule adaptability. Team members share responsibility and collaborate with emergency services, families, and multi-agency partners. The position requires a flexible 40-hour schedule, Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Staff travel to locations outside the agency’s control, including homes, shelters, public spaces, and outdoor settings; these may have stairs, uneven terrain, limited accessibility, or other physical challenges, and the work may involve extended periods of physical activity. The annual pay rate is $55,000. Liberty Resources describes itself as committed to diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equal employment opportunity.
