Liberty Resources is hiring a Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder) in Madison County. The clinician works alongside Mobile Crisis Specialists and Peers, primarily conducting clinical assessments and providing crisis intervention services. Responses may be telephonic, in person, or via telehealth, with follow-up services provided depending on need. The multidisciplinary Mobile Crisis Team serves Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties. It provides culturally and linguistically competent crisis assessment, crisis diversion and safety planning, support during and after crises, and coordination with and referrals to health, social, and other services. Its goals include reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and arrests, engaging individuals in services, reducing symptoms, stabilizing people, restoring prior functioning, and helping develop coping mechanisms to prevent future crises. This is a per diem position with flexible scheduling options. The posting lists shifts by county, including weekday evenings, weekends and holidays, overnight coverage in Onondaga or Oswego, and weekday daytime coverage as needed. It also describes a flexible 40-hour Monday-through-Friday schedule between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The role is performed in a fast-paced, emotionally dynamic, collaborative environment that requires flexibility, composure, quick decision-making, and adaptation as situations change. Staff travel to locations not controlled or maintained by the agency, such as private homes, shelters, public spaces, and outdoor environments, which may involve stairs, uneven terrain, limited accessibility, or other physical challenges.
