Liberty Resources is seeking a Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder) to join its Mobile Crisis Team in Oswego County. The team is a trained, multidisciplinary service providing crisis intervention in community settings where people live, work, attend school, receive services, or socialize, across Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties. Services may include culturally and linguistically competent assessments, crisis diversion and safety planning, support during and after a crisis, and coordination with or referrals to health, social, peer, and family supports. The team aims to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and arrests, connect people with services, reduce symptoms, stabilize individuals, and help restore functioning and build coping skills. The clinician works alongside Mobile Crisis Specialists and Peers and is primarily responsible for clinical assessments and crisis intervention. Responses may be provided by telephone, in person, or through telehealth as needed. Follow-up services may be provided according to the level of need. This is a per diem position with flexible scheduling options. Pay includes $32.15 per on-call shift, additional compensation for agency-observed holidays, and tiered payments for mobile crisis responses and in-person follow-up services. The work is fast-paced and emotionally dynamic, requiring flexibility, composure, quick decision-making, and adaptation as situations evolve. Staff work collaboratively and may coordinate with emergency services, families, and multi-agency partners. The role involves travel to locations not controlled or maintained by the agency, such as private homes, shelters, public spaces, and outdoor environments, which may have stairs, uneven terrain, limited accessibility, or other physical challenges.
