About The Position
Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS) is hiring a bilingual clinician for its McCloskey Cares Clinic. The role supports the mental health and emotional well-being of children and families through individual, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention. Clinical services are provided both on-site and via telehealth, with hours including evenings and Saturdays. The internal title for this position is Clinician.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling, with diagnostic privilege.
- Licensure or a limited permit is required.
- Bilingual Spanish language skills are required.
- At least one year of experience providing clinical assessments or treatments and/or case management services for children, adolescents, and families.
- Knowledge of the complex issues affecting children and families involved in the child welfare system.
- Some working knowledge of New York City's children's systems.

- Familiarity with OMH Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Service programs operated by clinics and Part 599 regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy.
- Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care.
- Complete initial treatment plans within 30 days of admission.
- Update treatment plans every 180 days and maintain weekly progress notes.
- Prepare discharge summaries and support smooth transitions out of care.
