About The Position
Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinician to join the McCloskey Cares Clinic in the South Bronx. The role provides therapeutic services and crisis intervention to adults, children, and caregivers, supporting family strength and mental wellness in the community.
Requirements
- Have a caring, upbeat personality.
- Be a master's-level clinician with a degree in social work or mental health counseling; licensure is required, with a Limited Permit accepted.
- Have a minimum of two years' experience providing clinical assessments and treatments and case management services for children, adolescents, and families.
- Have knowledge of the complex issues presented by children and families involved in the child welfare system.
- Have some working knowledge of NYC children's systems.
- Be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with OMH-operated Article 31 clinics and Part 599 regulations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy across age groups.
- Deliver mental health crisis intervention services as needed.
- Complete initial treatment plans within 30 days of admission and update them every 6 months.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including weekly progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with treatment team members to ensure coordinated care.
