About The Position

CPS Healthcare is seeking per diem Mental Health Clinicians at Plymouth County Jail in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The clinician provides diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and psychotherapeutic services to an inmate population in a correctional setting. The role includes completing progress notes to quality standards, collaborating with mental health staff, medical personnel, CPS administration, inmates, and outside support agencies, and helping maintain a safe environment in accordance with policies and procedures. Clinicians also participate in site-based performance improvement activities, support their department or unit in meeting its objectives, and follow all security rules and regulations.

The schedule is flexible, with day, evening, and weekend shifts available. Compensation is $45 per hour.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Must be able to pass a facility background clearance.

Nice To Haves

• LICSW or LMHC preferred.
• LCSWs with correctional, crisis, or other relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
• Previous related experience preferred, including correctional mental health, crisis intervention, treatment of major mental disorders, or substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Complete progress notes and ensure documentation meets quality standards.
• Work effectively with mental health services staff, medical personnel, CPS administration, inmates, and outside support agencies.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Participate in site-based performance improvement activities relevant to job responsibilities.
• Promote effective working relationships as part of a department or unit team to help meet its goals and objectives.
• Follow all security rules and regulations.
