About The Position

Secure Base Counseling Center (SBCC) is hiring a Level 2 Mental Health Behavioral Aide to work directly with children and their families in the home and community. SBCC is an outpatient mental health facility with offices in Northfield, New Prague, and Farmington, Minnesota, providing services including psychotherapy, play therapy, rehabilitative services (CTSS and ARMHS), and DBT. The position is based in a combination of clients’ homes and community settings or at one of SBCC’s three offices. Pay is $15.00 per client contact hour, plus $0.40 per minute for travel. The role includes paid weekly individual and group supervision, flexible scheduling, training and advancement opportunities, and continuing education.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
Successful completion of training required under Minnesota Statute 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph c.
Valid driver’s license and transportation.
Ability to travel within a 30-minute radius of the chosen office.

Responsibilities

Work from an attachment perspective and use a team approach.
Work directly with clients in their homes, in the community, in schools, and in the office.
Transport clients in the aide’s vehicle when needed, subject to SBCC’s liability insurance requirements.
Collaborate with the therapist and clinical supervisor to create treatment plans for clients.
Write progress notes for each client session.
Maintain an individual caseload and schedule clients in home and office settings.
Attend mandatory weekly educational and case consultation meetings.
Follow SBCC policies and procedures.
Complete 30 hours of continuing education every two calendar years and provide documentation to human resources for the personnel file.
