Mental Health Access Specialist
About The Position
NorthKey Community Care is seeking a full-time Mental Health Access Specialist to go between its Northern Kentucky behavioral health outpatient offices in Covington, KY, and Newport, KY . This position requires a bachelor's degree or above in a behavioral health field of study AND current enrollment or future planned enrollment in a Master's degree program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other closely related clinical field. The hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm (with flexibility for college classes). Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in a behavioral health field of study from an accredited institution.
- Currently enrolled OR planned enrollment in the near future in a Master's degree program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or other closely related clinical field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services for intake, screening, level of care assessment, and coordination with referrals to appropriate services to behavioral health clients.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, risk assessments, and psychosocial histories of incoming clients.
- Collaborate with treatment team, including therapists/counselors, case managers, and prescribers, and participate in clients' ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and collateral treatment.
- Provide clinically appropriate treatment and utilize most appropriate evidence-based practice(s) based on clients' needs.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record.
- Fully participate in staff development opportunities offered to enhance professional growth.
- Participate in supervision and case consultation conferences as necessary.
