About The Position

The Men's Merchandising Summer Internship supports the Express brand at PHOENIX Retail, LLC. It is part of the PHOENIX Internship Program, a paid, 10-week program that gives rising junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students hands-on experience, exposure to a multi-brand retail company, opportunities to collaborate across functions, and the chance to develop professional skills. The 2027 program runs from June 2 to August 5 and is based at the company's Columbus, Ohio headquarters. Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, follow the four-days-in-office approach, relocate to the office location, and commit to the full program; housing accommodations are not provided. The program also includes professional development workshops, networking sessions with leaders, mentorship opportunities, a cross-functional group project, group outings, social events, and volunteer opportunities. Requirements

Be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student or a graduate student.
Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
Follow the company's four-days-in-office approach.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on exposure to the product life cycle, from initial concept through design and sourcing to customer distribution.
Create, edit, and produce an assortment framework.
Complete competitive and trend patterning, and gather in-store feedback and experience to understand the customer.
Research current trends through runway, aspirational brands, and social platforms.
Maintain merchant reporting and recaps.
Support sample management.
