About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Wildwood in Joplin, MO. This part-time role focuses on creating human connection with residents, understanding their unique interests and abilities, and partnering with them throughout their daily lives. The position involves setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments, documenting resident care, and assisting with team member orientation. We are looking for individuals who are empathetic, patient, and genuinely love working with residents.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Understand the importance of empathy.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing environments such as dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
