About The Position

Anchor Bay Pocasset in Johnston, Rhode Island, is seeking a patient, innovative, creative, friendly, compassionate, and organized Memory Care Programming Assistant to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling, and implementing programs for residents. The programming team provides therapeutic opportunities and meaningful engagement for senior residents in a safe, home-like, and fun work environment. This is a full-time role.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents, with and without assistance.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with elderly people and/or people with Alzheimer's.

Responsibilities

Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily programming schedule for seven days per week.
Support coordination of entertainment, including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
Participate in scheduled outings and ensure residents’ safety during transportation and off-site activities.
Support development of the monthly newsletter, take photos, and update social media.
