About The Position
The Memory Care Professional (MCP) provides non-medical companionship care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Our person-centered, activity-based approach focuses on meaningful connections and exceptional customer service to improve the quality of life for clients and their families.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience
- Minimum of 1 year Dementia/Alzheimer care experience
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle with current registration and insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Home Care Aide clearance with the State of CA
- Timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification
Responsibilities
- Facilitates activities that are designed to meet the clients’ fundamental needs and provide meaningful moments throughout the day, even as the disease progresses.
- Creates activities that engage clients' abilities in six key areas: social, emotional, physical, nutritional, intellectual and spiritual.
- Provides person-centered, activity-based care to ensure clients have joyful, dignified, and meaningful days.
- Drives own vehicle to and from outings and appointments.
