About The Position

Tender Rose is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers who love building meaningful connections to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The Memory Care Professional (MCP) provides non-medical companionship care using a person-centered, activity-based approach focused on meaningful connections and exceptional customer service to improve the quality of life for clients and their families. Paid training is provided, starting at $20.50/hour.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience
Minimum of 1 year Dementia/Alzheimer care experience
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Valid Driver’s License and vehicle with current registration and insurance
Ability to pass a background check
Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Home Care Aide clearance with the State of CA
Timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification (as required by California law)

Responsibilities

Facilitates activities designed to meet clients’ fundamental needs and provide meaningful moments throughout the day, even as the disease progresses.
Focuses on creating activities that engage clients' abilities in six key areas: social, emotional, physical, nutritional, intellectual, and spiritual.
Assures clients have joyful, dignified, and meaningful days through a person-centered, activity-based care approach.
Drives own vehicle to and from outings and appointments.
