LCB Senior Living is hiring Medication Technicians at The Residence at Basking Ridge. This is a part-time evening role with a wage band of $25-$28 per hour based on years of experience. The role involves dispensing medications, assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring resident needs, and facilitating programming. Requirements

Must have completed the course, as required by State Regulation to administer medication.
CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimers disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.
Current Med Aide or LMNA certification/license or completed required training as dictated by State Regulation.
Must maintain required certification/license and to provide copies of the documentation to the Resident Care Director or designee.
Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.

Responsibilities

Dispense unit dose medications, making required record entries and notifications to the nurse.
Order and receive medications per State regulation and LCB policies and procedures.
Assist Residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, dressing, bathing, eating, and walking, as described in the service plan.
Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status, and report/document any noticed changes immediately to the RN or designee.
Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
Supervise or assist Residents with activity programs.
Assist Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
Participate in the community's regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs.
Participate in specialized staff training programs and mandatory education requirements dictated by state regulations upon request of the Resident Care Director.
Assist with escorting residents to meals and activities as needed.
Document both scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, including a resident's refusal of services.
Input information into the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.
Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
