Requirements

  • Leadership experience in senior living, memory care, healthcare, or a related setting.
  • Strong supervisory, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, resident rights, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable using computers and technology in a professional setting.
  • Compassionate, positive, and relationship-focused leadership style.
  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call or Manager on Duty rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Memory Care team while fostering a positive, resident-centered culture.
  • Ensure residents receive compassionate, personalized care using the Best Friends™ Approach to Alzheimer's and dementia care.
  • Partner with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional support and communication.
  • Oversee resident assessments, care plans, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and welcoming memory care neighborhood through meaningful programming and daily interactions.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and recognize team members while promoting accountability and professional growth.
  • Manage department operations, scheduling, budgeting, and supply oversight.
  • Support community outreach, marketing efforts, and occupancy goals.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty rotation and provide leadership support throughout the community as needed.
