About The Position

The Memory Care Director manages and implements the programs, philosophies and standards for the Memory Care Center. Requirements

  • Three years human services experience.
  • Two years of experience working with persons with dementia or dementia related diagnoses.
  • Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a human services field preferred.
  • Previous social services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and implements the programs, philosophies and standards for the Memory Care Center.
  • Train, observe and redirect staff through initial education and one-on-one education of the Alzheimer disease process.
  • Empathetic engagement with residents and families.
  • Clear, effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Works with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
  • The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
