About The Position

The Memory Care Director is sought to join a team passionate about providing a safe and comfortable environment for memory care residents, adhering to a person-centric philosophy and a culture of caring. This pivotal role involves implementing and practicing the company's philosophy within the Memory Care Program. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and evaluating the overall program, as well as supervising, training, and coaching memory care staff. The director will make a significant impact on the lives of residents and foster relationships with their families and the community.

Requirements

  • One year of management in dementia care
  • One year of supervisory and management experience
  • Knowledge of all applicable government regulations
  • Understanding of the physiology and psychology of older adults
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion for older adults

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate a comprehensive and varied program of activities for Memory Care Residents
  • Provide ongoing education and training to the Memory Care staff
  • Partner with various departments to ensure excellent service delivery, safety, and resident engagement
  • Establish a cooperative relationship with local Alzheimer’s Association chapters or other Alzheimer’s advisory organizations
  • Manage the department budget and assist the Executive Director in completing the annual community budget
