About The Position

The Memory Care Director/Support Specialist manages and implements the programs, philosophies, and standards for the Memory Care Center. The role supports person-centered resident care and creates a comforting, engaging atmosphere for residents. It includes educating, observing, and redirecting staff on the Alzheimer disease process, and working empathetically with residents and families. The position collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, departments, professionals, consultants, organizations, and government regulatory agencies to support excellent care.

Requirements

Strong understanding of a person-centered approach to resident care.
Experience and knowledge of dementia-related behaviors, strategies, and best practices.
Empathetic engagement and effective communication skills.
Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field preferred.
Previous social services experience preferred.
