Memory Care Companion
About The Position
Executive Home Care is hiring a dedicated, compassionate caregiver to provide direct in-home care to seniors who need assistance with everyday living. The role focuses on supporting clients’ comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being. The Memory Care Companion provides gentle redirection, reassurance, and routine to help reduce confusion and anxiety; engages clients in meaningful activities that support memory, connection, and joy; and observes and reports behavioral or cognitive changes to the care team. Prior memory care experience is required. Healthcare experience is otherwise not necessary, and training is provided.
Requirements
- Prior memory care experience is required.
- Be caring and dependable, with a passion for helping others.
- Be a strong communicator who enjoys connecting with people.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Prepare meals and provide companionship.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Encourage healthy habits and client independence.
- Provide gentle redirection, reassurance, and routine to reduce confusion and anxiety.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that support memory, connection, and joy.
- Observe, document, and report changes—including behavioral or cognitive changes—to the care team.
