Memory Care Aide $18-26.25 7p-7a (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Boulevard Wentzville. This full-time position involves creating human connections with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments. The role also includes partnering with residents in daily life activities, documenting care, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, and have a positive, energetic attitude. Computer skills for documentation and printing are necessary. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting residents with mobility and after falls. Candidates must be criminally cleared.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, collaborating to create appropriate engagement plans and implementing strategies with patience.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments such as dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms for routines.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
