Memory Care Aide $18-26.25 7p-7a (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Memory Care Support Partner for The Boulevard Wentzville. This full-time role involves creating human connections with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and managing the environment to enhance resident experiences. The position also requires documenting resident care, assisting with new team member orientations, and partnering with residents throughout their daily lives. Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across 6 states and employs nearly 2,200 individuals.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
