Memory Care Aide $18-26.25 7a-7p (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at The Boulevard Wentzville. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $18.00-$26.25 per hour. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will also be a "Patient Observer," discovering residents' interests and abilities to create appropriate engagement plans. Additionally, you will be a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for meals, events, and resident routines. You will also act as a "Life Partner," assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives from waking to sleep, and be proficient in documenting resident care and changes in condition. A key part of this role includes assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
- Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
