About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at The Boulevard Wentzville. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an 'Advocate of Empathy,' creating human connections with residents during their most vulnerable moments. You will also be a 'Patient Observer,' understanding residents' interests and abilities to create appropriate engagement plans. Additionally, you will be a 'Master of the Mise en Scène,' responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for meals, events, and resident routines. You will act as a 'Life Partner' to residents, assisting them throughout their daily lives. This role requires excellent documentation of resident care and changes in condition, as well as assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents.
  • Observe residents' interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique to create appropriate engagement plans.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
