About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for its Vitalia Active Adult Community in Mentor, Ohio. This role is crucial for creating human connections with residents, understanding their individual needs and interests, and setting up their daily environment to ensure a successful and engaging experience. Memory Care Support Partners act as 'Advocates of Empathy,' 'Patient Observers,' 'Masters of the Mise en Scène,' and 'Life Partners,' assisting residents with all aspects of daily life from morning to night. Arrow Senior Living manages 33 senior living communities across 6 states, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care, and is committed to promoting from within.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with Residents.
Possess a positive and energetic attitude.
Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about Residents.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be an Advocate of Empathy: Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Be a Patient Observer: Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: Set the stage for a successful day, including preparing the dining room for breakfast, setting up the library for events, and preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
Be a Life Partner: Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
