About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Barrymore in Kansas City, MO. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $19.00-$21.00 per hour and a shift schedule of Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be responsible for creating human connection with residents, understanding their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day by preparing various environments. You will partner with residents throughout their daily lives, document care and changes in condition, and assist with orienting new team members to the memory care neighborhoods. Requirements

• At least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
• Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
• Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
• Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to resident rooms.
• Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
• Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
