About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at Vitalia Senior Residences in Strongsville, Ohio. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $18.00 - $24.25 per hour. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will also be a "Patient Observer," understanding residents' interests and abilities to create engagement plans, a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments, and a "Life Partner," assisting residents with all facets of daily life. The role also involves documenting resident care, assisting with team member orientation, and providing direct resident support. Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Understand residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
