About The Position

This is a Part Time Memory Care Aide position with a starting wage of $18.00-$20.00 per hour. The role involves being an Advocate of Empathy, a Patient Observer, a Master of the Mise en Scène, and a Life Partner to residents in memory care. Key responsibilities include creating human connection, understanding resident interests and abilities, setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation, partnering with residents throughout their daily lives, documenting resident care, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
