About The Position

This position is for a Memory Care Support Partner at Vitalia Highland Heights, located in Highland Heights, Ohio. The role involves creating human connection with residents, understanding their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments. The Memory Care Support Partner will also assist residents with daily life activities, document care, and help orient new team members. The company, Arrow Senior Living, manages a collection of senior living communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across 25 properties in 5 states and employs nearly 1,400 people.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents!
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are. Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
  • Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
