About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake. The role is described as being an "Advocate of Empathy" to create human connections with residents, a "Patient Observer" to understand residents' interests and abilities for engagement planning, and a "Master of the Mise en Scène" responsible for preparing the physical environment for residents' daily experiences. The partner will also act as a "Life Partner" assisting residents with all facets of daily life. Arrow Senior Living manages 34 senior living communities across 6 states (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Arkansas) offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care, employing nearly 2,200 individuals.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with Residents
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about Residents
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
  • Must be criminally cleared

Responsibilities

  • Be an “Advocate of Empathy” by understanding its importance and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments
  • Be a Patient Observer to discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success
  • Be a Master of the Mise en Scène, responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing the dining room for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine
  • Be a Life Partner, partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep
  • Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods
